What Data Is Collected?
Unless otherwise agreed with you, The Union will not collect any other personal data other than what is stated below. Due to the nature of the courses The Union will store special category data such as ethnic origin, sex, trade union membership and health such as disability information. Personal data will include full name, date of birth, home address and first language.
How Will Your Data Be Used?
The Union collects this data in order to provide you with services you have engaged with The Union to provide. If you do not consent for this information to be stored then The Union will be unable to provide the services you have requested.
How Long Will Your Data Be Stored?
All personal data, electronic and paper based, will be processed by The Union Project Staff and uploaded onto the Electronic Learning Application (ELA) system. Personal data that has come from a paper based source will be confidentially and securely destroyed if no longer needed or kept in a locked location.
The Union will securely store both personal data and special category data for a maximum of 10 years after which it is destroyed should it not be required for the lawful purpose(s) for which it was obtained.
Who Has Access To Your Data?
The Union Project Staff and 3rd parties ELA systems and UCD systems will have access to the data The Union Project have request to retain. Staff belonging to these companies / organisations will have access to your data but to ensure that The Union are in line with the new regulations, a disclaimer has been signed by all staff that have access to the data.

Unauthorised copying, reproduction, performance, broadcast, rental, sale or recording of The Website, audio and video clips, photographs, images, logos and any other content on The Website is strictly prohibited.
All content on The Website should be family friendly. No profanities, nudity, violence, sex or substance abuse will be displayed on The Website unless strictly introduced with a disclaimer.
The Union are not responsible for links posted on The Website or their content and thus are unable to guarantee the nature of the content on these sites. If you believe any linked websites contains any mature content please contact us via the online form on The Website.
The Union offer a variety of services from The Website.
